A Self Portrait

I believe I am a composite of memories.

I believe each person I’ve loved, song I’ve played, and place I’ve gone are a reflection of the self I carry today.

I believe without memories we would have no sense of self or identity– the thing that makes each of us so extraordinary.

 

In this collection, you will find body castings from my own body

that are representative of the different memories that have shaped my identity– so when adorned together, they form a self portrait of the version of myself I am right now.

However, I believe this version of myself will not last forever.

We are constantly changing… yet these pieces are not…

Serving as relics for the self I will once grow out of, they allow me to retain a part of myself I would have lost overtime.
