Nature VS Nurture

Through this project, we explore the theme of Nature vs. Nurture. Each piece, plays with how balance flows throughout contrasting stones, textures, and metals-- likewise to the harmony one might seek in the understanding of nature and nurture.

 

The Hematite Stones represent nature, something that is permanently decided at birth, so the nature stones remain the same throughout the piece.

Where nurture is something that changes throughout stages of your life, so the stones reflecting nature change from different shades of green.

The Swarovski stones represent balance and harmony between the two.
